Hopefully you have heard about Move Tallahassee and the walks that are being organized around the city and surrounding areas. This weather is just perfect for getting out and going for a nice long walk.
My 9 year old daughter and I participated in our first one this past Sunday and really enjoyed it. Apparently they had a record turnout with 203 people participating! It was a gorgeous afternoon and I love that she and I got to spend time together while being active.

If you haven’t participated yet, you can join in the fun this Sunday, Sept. 28, for the HEALTHY FAMILIES 5K WALK/RUN/ROLL/STROLL at Florida A&M University. This is the kick off of the week-long celebration of the inauguration of President Elmira Mangum. The walk-run starts at 4 p.m. at Bragg Stadium on the campus and ends at Cascades Park, followed by a Jazz Concert at 5:30 p.m.
