I was born and raised in Tallahassee. I attended the University of North Florida and received a Bachelor and Master Degree of Science in Health and Nutrition. I have been a Registered Dietitian (RD) since 2000 and am licensed to provide nutrition therapy services in both Florida and Georgia.
My career began at Archbold Medical Center where I worked in cardiac rehab, weight management, and provided diabetes education. I then worked as Employee Wellness Coordinator for the Florida Department of Health where I began honing my knowledge of wellness programs and initiatives to improve employee health and wellness. Currently, I offer one-on-one counseling services, provide health presentations, and provide consulting services to Hospice clients.
As a licensed and registered professional, I perform continuing education to maintain my certification and licensure. I am a life-long student and constantly reading and researching the latest trends, theories and research. Nutrition is a science that is constantly evolving and changing and it is my duty and respsonsibility to be knowledgable on current trends while providing science-based, real information to clients.
In addition to my formal education, I’ve completed continuing education credits at the prestigious Cooper Institute and earned a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. To increase my knowledge and expertise in the area of exercise, I am currently pursuing certification as a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.
